The graphic we use as our logo is a representation of the Pont du Gard, a 2000 year old aqueduct located between Nimes and Avignon, France. The aqueduct spans the Gardon Valley and was part of a system that carried 44 million gallons of water per day a distance of 31 miles.

The aqueduct itself is constructed of blocks of masonry weighing up to six tons. Roman engineers held the structure together with iron clamps rather than mortar. The blocks were raised into position by human power on a treadmill using a winch and block and tackle system.

This aqueduct was selected as a logo to symbolize how an investment portfolio is built, piece by piece, until the structure is complete. Each part contributes to the success of the structure but no one piece should dominate. Properly constructed, a portfolio should stand the test of time.
